Privacy
This early CounterFact product privacy notice is intentionally plain-language and not a full lawyer-approved policy. Contact us before using CounterFact with sensitive or enterprise datasets that need custom handling.
Information we collect
We collect account information such as your name, email address, workspace membership, sign-in activity, verification status, and product events needed to operate, secure, and support the service.
Uploaded CSVs and derived work
When you upload CSV files, we store the raw file so CounterFact can create mappings, previews, evaluation runs, and reports. Raw uploaded CSV files are retained according to your workspace plan. On Starter, raw CSV retention is currently 14 days.
After a raw CSV file is deleted by retention, source metadata, mappings, completed run records, and completed reports may remain so you can understand prior evaluations. CSV-backed actions that need the original file may require re-upload.
Email and support access
We use email for sign-in verification, product notices, account support, and operational messages. CounterFact staff may access account, workspace, upload, mapping, run, and event information when needed for support, reliability, security, and abuse prevention.
How we use data
We do not sell user data. We do not use uploaded CSVs to train public models. We use service data to provide CounterFact, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
Deletion requests
To request account, workspace, or data deletion, contact [email protected]. We may retain limited records when required for security, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.
